My name is Angie and this is “Feed Meichi” – my little corner of the internet that is dedicated to all things delicious that I cook up in my kitchen and a place to share my love for food styling and photography.
I needed a place to keep track of all recipes I write (and yes I often refer back to my own recipes) and somewhere to direct people to when they ask “Can you please share recipe for X?”
What started off as just sharing my slight obsession with food on Instagram has turned into this space. I’ve been lucky enough to meet great people from the online food world, work with different companies to produce recipes and content and basically channel every spare moment of my day into documenting my adventures in the kitchen on Instagram.
My approach to writing up recipes is to provide clear instructions but assume you’ll add your own little interpretation and flair when you cook with them. When I use recipes, I see them as a guide and I apply some of the cooking common sense I’ve picked up along the way to tweak things a little if needed. I’m always substituting ingredients because I’ve forgotten to buy something when I’m at the shops (I like to think of myself as a bit of a Macgyver in the kitchen).
So whether you’re a complete novice when it comes to cooking or you’re just here looking for some inspiration, take the time to look through the website and hopefully you’ll find something that will make you jump straight into the kitchen.
